Annie Mae was born on Sept. 14, 1921, in Copperas Cove to the late Thomas E. and Ida Kattner Mangrem.  She grew up in Copperas Cove and graduated from Copperas Cove High School.  She married Floyd A. She was a devoted Christian for 85 years and helped establish Robertson Avenue Baptist Church and Kempner Oak Hills Baptist Church where she was a charter member.  Until her failing health, she was an active member of the Women's Missionary Union.  She established in the local nursing homes, a program of honoring those on their birthdays and a ministry of the "Christmas Shopping Spree", which both continue today.  She provided a "Widow's Luncheon" for the widows of the area once a year and at times, there were as many as 30 widows attending the luncheon.  She also coordinated delivering Thanksgiving baskets to the shut-ins in the community.

She was preceded in death by her parents; step-mother, Violet G. Mangrem; husband, Floyd A. Taylor, Sr; son, Milburn A. (Mat) Taylor; granddaughter, Amy Morrison Fry; grandson, Aaron H. Taylor; great-granddaughter, Kayla J. Taylor; and a brother, George Mangrem.
